Fishing Bank Kit

I have been trying to get out and fish more! I have been testing out different systems and found one I have really been enjoying. It helps me get out easier and quicker. Below I go over the contents as well as the storage system I use for bank fishing.

All of the gear laid out.

Bank Bag/Box

I discovered the Rux gear hauler and almost immediately fell in love. (I spend hours scouring the internet for outdoor gear organization!) It had just so happened that the gear hauler was on sale (no brainer!) so I purchased the 70L in black! It has backpack straps and works really well as a box and a backpack for walking to the spot. The utility box can storage all of mt tackle and other accessories with room left over. I also purchased the Rux panel organizer set when it first came out and this is helpful to keep things like hemostats, a fishing hook sharpener, nippers, small towel, bathroom kit and other misc. items. My phone, keys and fishing license are stored in this as well due to the ease of access. Along the outside of the Rux 70L are rails and I am able to use some sea to summit stretch-loc straps to secure my fishing pole to the outside of the utility box while in backpack mode.

Tackle

For tackle storage I have a combination of Buzbe and Plano boxes. I plan on eventually switching over to Buzbe for all my boxes. Depending on the lake I sometimes bring more or less tackle however in the Buzbe Colony 15 I keep all of my terminal tackle so this will always come along. In addition to Buzbe’s tackle boxes they also have what they call quik qubes and I found these to be very useful in carrying all of my Powerbait, fish eggs and attractants. The quik qubes keep them organized and keep and keep the spilling, if any, contained within the qube. Parrt of the tackle category I also brinf a fishpond pio pod it is small but can store any fishing line i cut as well as any i find while I am there.

Chair– Helinox Chair Zero, i originally purchased this for backpacking but the form factor and weight is perfect for this kit and I find i bring it along on alot of my adventures. It is very easy to set up and take down.

Possibles pouch– this comes on every adventure with me. For more details on this kit, check out its own post.

Layers -I have created an extra layer’s kit which contains extra gloves, beanie, socks and a rain jacket all stored in a medium Patagonia black hole cube. The cube is highly water resistant and has storage on either side with mesh zipper allowing me to see what’s inside and get to it easily. This also comes with me on most adventures as it is also beneficially to have extra layers because living in Colorado and being in the mountains the weather can be unpredictable.

My dad took this after using it for the first time.
